RAVALLI COUNTY AIRPORT FONSI/ROD AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC REVIEW

The Board of Ravalli County Commissioners has received the Federal Aviation Administration’s Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Record of Decision (ROD) in support of Alternative 2 A as described in the Final Environmental Assessment adopted by the Ravalli County Commissioners on November 17, 2010. This FONSI/ROD is available for public review through May 4, 2011.

Ravalli County is proposing to implement the following major improvements to Ravalli County Airport in order to meet the FAA’s required 240’ separation standard for ARC B-II aircraft. The proposed action

includes:

• Construct new 4,200’ X 75’ runway 93’ east of and parallel to the existing runway, including edge lighting and PAPls

• Shift runway 1,000’ to the north

• Remove existing runway and lighting system

• Acquire approximately 78 acres of land for runway development, safety areas, and approach protection

• Acquire or zone approximately 106 acres for compatible land use

• Maintain current weight bearing capacity of 17,000 pounds

• Reconstruct and extend Taxiway B (parallel taxiway) and connector taxiways

• Reconstruct and expand aprons

• Install animal control fencing

NOTICE OF ANNUAL SCHOOL ELECTION

of Stevensville School District No. 2, Ravalli County, Montana for the Election of three (3) (Elementary/High School) trustees to be elected for a three (3) year term. The election will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at the High School Gym Lobby. The polling site will be the lobby of the Stevensville School Gymnasium at 300 Park Street, Stevensville, MT. The polls will open at 12:00 noon and close at 8:00 p.m.

A qualified registered elector, who will be absent from the county or physically incapacitated and unable to go to the polls on the day of election, may request an “Application for Absentee Voter’s Ballot from the School District Clerk’s Office located in the Stevensville High School at 300 Park Street, Stevensville, Montana or call 777-5481 ext. 137 or ext. 139 for an application.
