Yet every other year around this time school districts across the state have to begin preparing for the upcoming fiscal year end and the beginning of a new one without any definite funding levels to work with because the legislature is still hashing it out. The best that can be done, according to most school superintendents, is to work with the figures in the governors proposed budget and keep a close eye on the legislative discussions.
