Happiness abounds, I grin from ear to ear
We’re at the end of the 2012 year.
Now, at the end of December I think back how fast the year went bye-bye
Almost as if I were watching a passerby.
Strangely, as we count every year
Some hope to accomplish goals while still here.
If there are goals we did not conceive
Maybe there’s every-day things that keep us alive and want to achieve.
What I wish to relay to all who read this, and I am sincere
Concerning my “cockeyed optimism” that dwells within me for many a year
I want to share the gift that is always present, named spirit
A divine force that urges me on and to never quit.
I want desperately to share, help, and serve whomever I can
This would complete my life’s chart, a well thought out plan.
But as years and age pile up so surprisingly fast
It’s important to finish my chart with exuberance while anticipating the divine avalanche.
