I understand that some small cities like Boulder, Nevada have growth limits each year because of their finances. The real estate boom we are experiencing cannot last. Remember 2007? The Bitterroot has always had boom and bust periods. We have plenty of room for multi-housing in areas 1, 2, and 3. Contractors have always liked expensive housing, because it is more PROFITABLE. The city has always been building low cost housing for the past 20 years. Darby, Victor, Corvallis, and Stevi can step up to the plate and encourage this building too! Many low income people are MOVING out of the Root, but there are no stories about this move. The property boom balloon is about to POP! Many properties are being bought by small investors and then the rents are raised to make the mortgage payments.
