Gosh, you people! Are you blind or just scared?
Scared I can understand, because everyone is leery of change and change is certainly in the air, but blind?
We all have brains and can use them if we dare.
The Republican Party has filled your ears so full of buzzwords, from Nixon (anti-abortion rhetoric to catch middle-of-the-road Catholics) to Reagan (“government is the problem”) to Trump (“loser,” us/them, “illegals,” rant rant rant) to Tucker Carlson (anger anger, them them them, rant rant) that your brains seem to have stopped working, not to mention your consciences.
Yep, I’m referring to right-wingers (guns, patriotism, “freedom,” “Christian,” guns, 2nd Amendment, banning books), not traditional conservatives who believe in the rule of law and human dignity.
What makes our country special – aside from its size and natural wealth – is the attempt to have a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” That’s co-operation, not inflammation.
More Americans support banning assault weapons and allowing women to make their own decisions about their bodies than don’t support them, but Trump’s Republican Party yells louder and mobilizes outrage among those who won’t take the responsibility to think for themselves and actively care about other people. Groupthink anyone?
You want authoritarianism? You want some rich guy(s) to tell you how to live your life? It may look like they’ll just leave you alone, but just wait – witness fascist Germany and increasingly fascist Russia and China.
You’re getting us there real quick. If you look closely, you’ll see that everything right-wingers accuse Democrats of doing is what they themselves have in the works. Cagey but dishonest and unworthy.
Open your eyes and use your brain!

I’d love to know what you mean, Alan. Seems to me the Valley is “uniparty’ Republican. What are your news sources and what do you make of them? Vaguely worded comments don’t get anyone anywhere.

Yet another rant from a uniparty cheerleader. Until you figure out that there is really only one party and neither blue nor red is for the people you’ll continue in clueless oblivion. Open your eyes.
