Support for Tester

September 24, 2024 by Guest Post

by Brenda DeGrazio, Florence

As a retired nurse and veteran, I’m very aware of the obstacles facing many in obtaining health care. If you think privatization is the answer, think again! Corporations do NOT see people, but rather profit. Jon Tester has worked tirelessly for Montanans and understands the challenges facing our healthcare system—especially in providing care to rural Montana. If you think “Washington” has changed him, you haven’t met him, or know how much he has done for Montana.

Sen. Tester made possible the new VA clinic here as well as medical residency programs extending care to rural hospitals. Anyone receiving Social Security, Medicare, VA benefits or who has a pre-existing condition has only one choice this election. Without Jon Tester, rural hospitals will not survive and costs for insurance will skyrocket– if you can get it at all. I have seen first hand what “privatization” means and it isn’t pretty.

We need Jon Tester working for us—not another snake oil salesman. If you think hard work and integrity should be rewarded; and you need – or think you will ever need – healthcare, re-electing Jon Tester should be a privilege. We need someone who understands and will provide the safety net of health care we all need while making it accessible and affordable –  not “business as usual.”

    Tracy,
Please put, “ I want to return health care to pure privatization” into context so it doesn’t mean that. We heard the recording that someone captured at a meet-and-greet in Glasgow, I believe.

The only folks talking about “privatization” of healthcare are those in Tainted Testers commercials claiming that Sheehy is running on that issue as well as abortion. Have not heard him running on these issues. I have heard out of context clips that imply this and yes I have knowledge of him formerly being on a board that is for privatization of public lands. I assert that you have no idea what his position is on any of this and these are simply regurgitated slugs from Tainted Testers camp.
