More concerns about election

September 24, 2024 by Guest Post

by Jerry Esmay, Stevensville

My concerns about the upcoming Presidential election have not decreased. Vice President Harris continues to “beat around the bush” and skip over any detailed description of her proposed policies to change the direction of the Biden term. So, this continues to beg the question, why would you vote for her when you don’t know what she plans on doing?

I am personally interested in how she would deal with the invasion taking place on our southern border.  I again remind the reader that President Biden officially placed her in charge of the border and she did nothing. We now have over eleven million illegal aliens in our country with hundreds of thousands of “gottaways.” Just think of those numbers, roughly eleven times the population of Montana have invaded our country;  AND, the flow of illegal drugs continues to kill thousands of our citizens every month.

Finally, I want to point out, in my opinion, that it is not the Trump/Republican Party that is the threat to our society. Rather it is the “woke” socialistic policies of the Democrats these last four years which have brought the problems of high crime rates, civilian unrest, unchecked inflation, international turmoil, deficit spending and males in girls sports.

Bottom line – are you better off today than you were four years ago?

One thing, Jerry. What the hell does “woke” mean. I mean since it is such a threat, its definition must be terrifying.

Oh I don’t know Wayne… Maybe you can tell us why a nurse reluctantly had to ask my wife if she “Identifies as a woman” at the doctor’s office last week. The Nurse was clearly embarrassed in doing so, but is Forced to ask every woman this by the Woke Medical Community.

Maybe you can define woke. No one else seems to be able to.

I’ll take a stab at it. Slang with a long history but always referring to social issues, all well and good, however, social issues are not to be used as a hammer. Woke is now a hammer and those who disagree are…guess?

Four years ago a pandemic was raging across the country. I was able to stay safe by working from home. A lot of people weren’t so lucky. We are most definitely better off today.

I’m not sure why Trump gets a pass for how he handled the pandemic. If a Democrat had been president when it hit here, I’m sure every other word out of Republicans’ mouths right now would be pandemic. “They released the China Virus” would be Trump’s campaign slogan.

Sorry. Forgot to add I am doing much better than four years ago. No doubt.

In Wayne’s Fantasy World, we are all supposed to be ecstatic paying 35% more for gas, 23% more for Groceries, 45% more for insurance, Bracing for the revival of the Cold War, or WW III, Out of control Crime, Record Drug overdose deaths, a crashing economy, Out of control Illegal Immigration, rampant government corruption…… oh and A ballooning debt and the biggest budget deficit since World War II.
      Break out the Champagne!

Bill, I will respond to these points you make, but my wife and I are watching a movie. Get ya tomorrow.

        Bill,
I get it. You are desperate for Trump to get re-elected. I am desperate to stop that from happening, but the simple, economic truth is inflation was a global problem. Biden did not cause Turkey’s inflation to hit 40 percent. Another simple economic truth is our inflation rate has come down faster than other industrialized nations and our economic recovery is the envy of the world. If Trump had won in 2020. Nothing would have been better. Trump could have made no impact on gas prices, nor could he have done a thing about crime rates, which are not, despite your claim, soaring. A Trump re-election would be a disaster.
