No on college levy

Dear ATERCC (Already Taxed Enough Ravalli County Citizen):

Taxed enough already? Vote NO on the Community College levy by returning your school election ballots you receive in the mail by May 7.

Our property taxes are already too high – no need to add more to our tax bill! We just got billed for another 17 mills. We need to lower our property taxes, not increase them. The Community College wants another 1.5 mills added to our property taxes pushing our taxes even higher. We will be voting NO on the Community College levy. The schools and colleges will keep spending more and asking for more levies each time another levy is approved. Instead of being nickel and dimed, we are being one and five milled out of our homes. Enough is enough! It wasn’t a piano that broke the camel’s back, it was a straw.  

Supporters of so many bonds and levies say, “the increase in taxes will only be one hamburger per week or one latte per week.” Wanting more tax money never ends. It’s our money and we will have one hamburger for ourselves or our families each week. The Community College doesn’t get our hamburgers or any more of our money!
