Who would loudly claim omnipotence to excoriate duly elected members of their own party (elected by wide margins) and employ a debunked interpretation of settled Constitutional Law on the three legs of the government stool to make their “case”?
Who would stand on the platform of the John Birch Society, an extremist faction of its own party that was run out of the party from its inception by the likes of iconic conservatives, Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan and William F. Buckley?
It seems only those who embrace a “my way or the highway” vision for America, that’s who.
