Stevensville downs Corvallis 3-0 in volleyball

The Corvallis and Stevensville volleyball teams squared off on Tuesday, Sept. 6th in a battle of Bitterroot Valley teams. Stevensville continued their streak of excellent play and Corvallis couldn’t get any momentum going, as the Lady ‘Jackets prevailed in three straight sets, 25-8, 25-19, 25-18. For Stevensville, Daphne Engel led the way with nine kills and three blocks, Emmy Kopsa had eight digs, Sophie Berning had 26 assists, and Olivia Cannon had three aces. For Corvallis, Laila Smart had five kills and three blocks, Vivian Potter had four aces and four assists, Emmy Jessop had three blocks, and Elliana Davis and Milana Bestor had five digs each.

On Friday, Sept. 9th, Corvallis traveled to Frenchtown and won in four sets, 16-25, 25-12, 25-14, 25-11. Olivia Lewis had 12 kills, Jessica Saturday had 10 digs and seven aces, Vivian Potter had 12 assists, and Tylin Sorensen had seven aces. 

On Saturday, Sept. 10th, Stevensville traveled to Butte Central and won 25-17, 25-17, 25-23. Shilo Lampi had 10 kills and five blocks, Emmy Kopsa had 10 digs, Sophie Berning had 10 digs and 38 assists, and Daphne Engel had 13 kills. 

The Hamilton volleyball team hosted Butte Central on Thursday, Sept. 8th and won in four sets, 25-16. 25-16, 22-25, 25-19. Then on Saturday, Hamilton traveled to Dillon and lost in five sets, 25-23, 22-25, 25-19, 16-25, and 6-15. In the Dillon game, Taryn Searle had 25 assists and seven aces, Layne Kearns had 32 kills, Jenna Guisinger had 24 digs, and Mya Winkler had four blocks.
