Does Theresa Manzella even know what she means when she rails against “Big Government”? It’s easy to make up cute sayings about cutting big government, but when faced with a vote that actually makes a significant cut, Manzella voted NO. The 2019 budget bill cut over 200 permanent employees from state government, Manzella voted NO.
She also proclaims “the Constitution is the Solution” and paints herself as something of a constitutional scholar. And yet she somehow missed the part of the Montana Constitution that explains the legislature’s responsibility to pass a balanced budget. When faced with the most conservative budget in the past several years and the cut of over 200 permanent employees, she voted NO.
Cleary, Manzella has no real understanding of fiscal matters or the Constitution.
Vote NO on Manzella.
