By Doug Bohn, Stevensville
I write to state my objections to this proposed development at Logan and Middle Burnt Fork.
My concerns are:
First, the impacts on ground and surface waters. The proposed area is saturated with surface water for multiple months every year. With the proposed concentration of development, water quantity will be negatively impacted, affecting the future of not only those close to this proposed development, but may indeed put the water supply of the town of Stevensville at risk.
A full and comprehensive hydrological survey, by more than one agency or firm, of the entire aquifer underlying the town of Stevensville and surrounding areas MUST be completed BEFORE any further action should be allowed on this proposed plan.
My other main concern is for the future impact on surrounding access roads leading to and from said location.
This includes Middle Burnt Fork, Logan Road, Eastside Highway and Main Street of Stevensville.
As a school bus driver who transports our most precious resources to and from school in Stevensville over all of the mentioned roadways, I have grave concerns for the impact the increased traffic and risks this development will put upon our children.
I encourage you to table any further actions regarding this matter until all of my concerns are addressed.
