By Rep. Theresa Manzella, candidate for SD 44
What an honor it was to be invited to CPAC, and be recognized and awarded for my legislative efforts. To have the opportunity to join with 10K (28 million watching worldwide) like-minded Christian, Constitutional, conservative, Republicans was very exciting! The stakes are very high for America. We’re blessed to have a fierce warrior in the White House. As your elected Representative, I’m honored to be on the battlefield with him, fighting for every inch of ground we can reclaim.
America vs. Socialism was the theme of the event, and the topic was openly exposed, dissected and discussed in depth. And the enemy is at the door. With the possibility of having a full blown, proud Socialist/Communist sympathizer as the Democrat Presidential Nominee, we’d be well served to recognize the disease for what it is. Socialism is a cancer that invades slowly and grows internally through seemingly innocent, “beautiful” social justice programs, designed to seduce the naive for the purpose of redistributing the wealth of our people, until it cripples and enslaves us all. Just like sugar feeds the progression of cancer, sugar-coating the issue feeds the progression of Socialism.
Obamacare Medicaid Expansion is a perfect example of this. Our Montana citizens were savvy enough to vote down the unaccountable, fiscally irresponsible, behemoth in their defeat of I-185, yet it was imposed upon them by their state legislature, and specifically, by unprincipled Republicans, like my opponent, who voted against the majority of their party and 60% of our Ravalli County citizens. It would not have passed without their betrayal. That’s just plain wrong, and our Constitution makes that clear.
Nonetheless, it’s a great time to be a bold conservative in America! It’s a great time to have a voice, and the strength, health, and support to step into the culture war and fight for our country, our freedom and our way of life. Thank you for allowing me to serve you over the past six years, and if elected to the Senate, I will continue to do so.
