In response to Jim Crews’ letter to the editor last week asking for me to explain further my letter of thanks recently to Myla Yahraus, I would be happy to, Jim!
It was just a simple thank you for a most gracious offer of land use at the Stevensville bridge that until recently has been used and enjoyed by many. But on the front page of last week’s Star, we learned this gift became even greater, in that Ms. Yahraus plans on donating the seven acres along the river to FWP for management and development. Individuals and groups have worked tirelessly for some time to maintain public access here in Stevensville to one of the most valuable and beautiful rivers in the country. Ms. Yahraus’ gift is beyond generous and we along with generations after us, will be blessed because of this generosity. Again, my most sincere thanks.
I hope this answers your question, Jim.
