Being part of a family means accepting certain changes to how we conduct our affairs in life. Parents, siblings, in-laws, etc must be dealt with in a fashion that not only keeps the family strong but insures the continued life of the individual.
America is a family without a pedigree, herein lays our strength, not a hyphenated hijacked pedigree but proud mutts with a love so bright it can be seen from any point on the globe.
Like any family we have our nut cases, crazy uncles and that aunt who drinks too much wine at Thanksgiving dinner; but hey, they’re family…what we don’t need are the uninvited guests criticizing us for it.
So if you want to come for Thanksgiving dinner you should dress well, mind your manners, say please and thank you and we may invite you back.
