The Bitterroot Red Sox and the Bucs were busy this weekend. The Red Sox were at Belgrade where they took on the NW Premier BBL team on Friday. The Red Sox won the first game, 5-2. Joe Johnson went 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Chase Conner went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI. Jonathan Ringer went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Kyle Norman was the winning pitcher.
The Red Sox squeaked by the Boise Gems, 8-7, also on Friday. Tylor Nixon went 3-for-3 with two singles, a triple and two RBIs. Austin Ray went 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Justin Horvath and Kyle Norman also had RBIs. Norman had three singles. Jonathan Ringer was the winning pitcher.
On Saturday, the Red Sox defeated the Eagle Vipers, 11-3. Ladd Grenfell was the winning pitcher. Conner again knocked a triple and went 1-for-1. He also had an RBI. Ringer had four RBIs and Nate Loranger had two RBIs. In the final game of the weekend, the Red Sox took on the NW Premier BBL team again. This time, the Red Sox fell, 20-1.
The Bitterroot Bucs played Libby and defeated the Loggers, 15-6, in their first game of the day on Saturday. Bo Zeiler was the winning pitcher. Liam LeCoure went 1-for-2 at bat and had four RBIs. Jake Finley had five RBIs and went 3-for-4 at bat. He had a single and two doubles.
In their second game of the day, the Bucs defeated Libby, 4-3. Rees LeSoine was the winning pitcher. Finley had a double and a single and an RBI. Braxton McCullough had two RBIs and two singles.
