Remember, he was appointed, not elected (no matter what his signs say). From his actions, it’s painfully apparent that in exchange for his appointment by his buddies Foss and Stoltz, he was to march lock step with them in implementing their agenda and mismanagement of the county. The three of them made up an unbeatable majority on the county commission. They ignored your – the voting public’s – decisions, stated goals and opinions.
They:
– threw out the airport plan (there goes over 10 years of work and how many more dollars now? You like to hear jets take off and land?),
– Legacy Ranch (how many days of comment from how many hundreds of people with only one – the developer – speaking in favor of it),
– the road department mess,
– the planning department debacle,
– Upper Woodchuck payoff (most of it is in Missoula county!),
– Treasurer (ha, ha) Valerie whatever-her-last-name-is. How long did they keep paying her to stay out of the office and do nothing?
– the list goes on and on.
Fines and punishments have reached over $1 million. And YOUR property taxes are going up to cover it.
If that’s what you want then keep Burrows, because with Iman and Chilcott, who were both complicit in most of this foolishness, they form another unbeatable commission majority.
It’s YOUR county, YOUR money, YOUR life. You gonna’ just throw it away? I hope not. I also hope that you don’t vote by just whatever letter is after their name. Be informed. Be smart. Elect competent people.
