As the school year draws to a close, Bitter Root Water Forum would like to thank our partners and supporters for a successful spring of youth education. Water is such a precious resource in our Valley and BRWF sees it as a vital task to educate youth to be future stewards of our natural resources. Our efforts would not be possible without partnerships with local teachers and natural resource organizations.
We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge everyone who contributed to making our education programs a smash hit. The list of contributors includes the Teachers of the Bitterroot Valley, our work with students would not be possible without their collaboration; Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks and Bitterroot National Forest, who presented at many of our in-class visits and field trips; Bitterroot Ecological Awareness Resource, who worked with students on teambuilding during field trips; Bitterroot Audubon Society, who volunteered time and equipment to our field trips; Teller Wildlife Refuge, Darby River Park, and Ambrose Creek Community Park, who allowed us access to beautiful sites for our field trips; Bitter Root Irrigation District and Daly Ditches, who sponsored and acted as presenters for our “Future Irrigators of the Bitterroot” field trip; Huls Dairy, for leading students on a tour of their facilities; and finally, all of the individuals who volunteered their
time and expertise.
We are pleased to provide opportunities for conservation education for Valley youth. We look forward to continuing our work in the years to come with our partners and friends.
