County jumps at stimulus fundsBy Michael Howell Like a hungry trout going for a fly, County officials jumped out of the water on Friday to come up with a preferred project that might qualify for $297,866.91 in economic stimulus funds rolling in from the federal government. The commissioners had one morning to come up with a qualifying project, according to an e-mail received late Thursday afternoon from the Montana Association of Counties (MACO).
