Planning report stirs controversyBy Michael Howell A ‘minority report’ passed on from the Ravalli County Planning Board to the County Commissioners on proposed changes to the subdivision regulations concerning the effects of subdivision on agriculture drew heated response from a group of citizens last week. From 25 to 30 people showed up at the County Commissioners’ office on Tuesday and again on Wednesday to protest the report’s recommendations as an illegal infringement on private property rights and a violation of the Constitution. Spreadbury seeks new hearingBy Michael Howell Former Hamilton mayoral candidate Michael Spreadbury, in a motion and affidavit filed December 30, has asked Hamilton City Court Judge Michael Reardon to reconsider the restraining order that was issued against him in November precluding any contact with Hamilton Library Director Nansu Roddy.
