Corvallis and Hamilton were in Polson while Florence and Darby journeyed over the mountains to Cascade for the Badger Invitational. Polson was host to 14 teams ranging from AA teams Flathead, Glacier and Sentinel to Class B schools Eureka, St. Ignatius-Charlo, Thompson Falls and Superior. Corvallis placed third behind the three AA schools and at the head of the Class A schools. The Blue Devils had one division winner. Travis Davis took first at 135 pounds. Five Blue Devils finished in the top four. Levi Gingerich was second at 112 pounds. Devan Williams finished second at 140, Riley Nagel was second at 145 and Raymond Jessop of the JV team was fourth at 145. Quincy Jessop finished fourth at 152 pounds; Kyle Thomas was fourth at 160. Hamilton had several wrestlers who placed in the top four as well. Colton Cox was second at 98 pounds, Troy Capp finished second at 171 pounds. Billy Winsett was second at 215 pounds to round out the Broncs scoring. In Cascade, Florence finished fifth behind Cascade-Simms, Choteau, Townsend, and Great Falls JV. Darby finished three places behind the Falcons. Val Rauser of Townsend pinned Florences Tanner Lund in the 130-pound championship. Florences Cody Lund took third with a major decision over Zach Spritzer of Townsend at 140 pounds. Kolter Beneitone of Florence lost to Barrett Stanghill of Drummond and finished fourth at 152 pounds. Zach Newbary won by decision over Bryan Hanson of Butte High and finished third at 160 pounds. Tanner Cobbs won an 8-7 decision over Buddy Warren of Boulder and finished third at 171 pounds. Another Falcon, Josh Marquardt, won an 8-1 decision over Owen Debruycker of Choteau and finished third at 189 pounds. Darby had four wrestlers who finished in the top four. Caleb Caicedo finished second at 125 after being pinned by Jade Rauser of Townsend. Tanner Evers lost a decision to Destin Wassman of Great Falls High and finished fourth at 135 pounds. Dalton Roundy lost a decision to Jesse Wordal of Choteau at 140 pounds. Christian Hammersmith was pinned by Tony Lightner of Choteau and finished fourth at 145 pounds.
