SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 2 (STEVENSVILLE) RAVALLI COUNTY, MONTANAELECTION CERTIFICATE School District No. 2 (Stevensville), Ravalli County, Montana, conducted a bond election by mail ballot on November 24, 2009, at which the following proposition was considered: Shall the Board of Trustees (the Board) of School District No. 2 (Stevensville), Ravalli County, Montana (the Elementary District), be authorized to issue and sell general obligation bonds of the Elementary District in one or more series in the amount of up to Eight Million Eight Hundred Eighty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($8,880,000), bearing interest at a rate or rates to be approved by the Board at the time of sale, not to exceed 2.00% per annum, payable as determined by the Board no more frequently than semiannually, during a term as to each series of bonds of not more than twenty (20) years, for the purpose of paying the costs of designing and constructing improvements to the existing school campus, including paying the costs of demolishing the junior high, four through six, and junior high shop buildings and constructing a new school facility housing classrooms, a library, and related amenities, and paying a portion of the costs of a music center, multi-purpose facility and kitchen; related improvements; and paying costs associated with the sale and issuance of the bonds (the Project)? Costs of a portion of the Project in excess of $8,880,000 are anticipated to be paid by the proceeds of bonds of High School District No. 2 (Stevensville), Ravalli County, Montana (the High School District), in the amount of $860,000, authorization for which is sought simultaneously herewith. In the event the election on the High School District bonds fails and the above proposition is approved, the Elementary District will be authorized to proceed to issue its general obligation bonds in the amount of up to $8,880,000 to pay the costs of demolishing the junior high, four through six, and junior high shop buildings, constructing the new school facility, the multi-purpose facility and kitchen, related costs, and costs of issuing the bonds. The total number of registered electors who were eligible to vote in the bond election was 4,263. The canvass of the votes establishes that 1,096 electors voted BONDS - YES, and that 1,060 electors voted BONDS - NO. THEREFORE, BE IT CERTIFIED that the above bond proposition has been approved in accordance with the provisions of section 20-9-428, MCA, and that the Board of Trustees of School District No. 2 (Stevensville), Ravalli County, Montana is hereby authorized to issue bonds for the purpose and in the amount specified in the ballot proposition.
