Humane Shelter runs furniture storeBy Michael Howell The Bitterroot Humane Association runs an animal shelter for lost, abandoned, and abused animals at a facility on Fairgrounds Road and it runs a furniture store on First Street. The used furniture store, called A Forever Home, is filled with restored furniture and antiques. The adopt a pet picture board on the wall just inside the door is the first big indicator of the stores connection to the local animal shelter. The many small stuffed animals perched around the store also symbolize the stores purpose, which is to raise money for the animal shelter. More... Human remains found up Little Rock CreekRemains could be those of hiker missing in the area since 2006 By Michael Howell Human remains were discovered by a hiker above Little Rock Creek Lake, last Monday, approximately five miles southwest of Como Lake. Those remains have been taken to the State Crime Lab in Missoula for identification and, if possible, determination of the cause of death.
