Exit Realty Bitterroot Valley recently recognized its November Youth in Action award recipient. Sadie Mauk was presented with a certificate and a check for $50.
“We always seem to hear about the negative activities teens are up to,” said Max Coleman, broker/owner of Exit Realty Bitterroot Valley. “There are so many teens who are doing incredibly responsible, generous things; we felt the need to highlight the positive. Sadie exemplifies the type of young person we are looking to the public to nominate.”
Sadie is on the State Youth Activation Committee that advocates for students with disabilities. She has worked to further awareness of the need to stand up for students who are challenged with learning or physical needs through Project Unify and she is a volunteer in the Special Olympics program. Sadie has also been volunteering in the Montanan Hope Project that provides wishes to terminally ill children and their families. Sadie has most recently signed up to be a Peer Mentor for a Victor Middle School group that teaches leadership. The group is coordinated by the local BEAR program and focuses on social skills, decision-making and leadership.
Exit Realty Bitterroot Valley will attempt to honor a deserving youth once per month and encourages the public to submit nominations. If you have a student you would like to nominate, contact the office at 375-9251.
