Freedom

October 22, 2026 by Guest Post 5 Comments

by Tom Tunny, Hamilton

In his newest attempt to secure his autocratic rule over the American people and extinguish our democracy, Donald J Trump attempted to restrict the principle of “freedom of the press” by barring CNN, MSNOW, and Politico access to the White House.

This is an obvious transgression of the First and Fifth Amendments, and by the time this letter is published, the Courts will have decided, once again, against DJT.

It is apparent that our only defense of democracy against DJT is the Court system since the Republican members of Congress are unwilling to do anything to save our country!

It is ironic that many of the Judges appointed by Trump have decided in favor of the American people.

The main purpose of the United Nations, founded in 1945, was to promote civil and human rights, social advancement, political freedom, international security, economic development, and foster friendly relations among nations.

Once again, DJT embarrassed the people of the United States of America with his recent address to the United Nations.

He defended the totally illegal, by all measures of international law, the capture and kidnapping of the President of Venezuela. President Maduro deserves to be punished for what he has done to Venezuela and its citizens, but it is not for the President of the USA to mete out that punishment!

DJT went on to defend his war against Iran and threaten total “annihilation” of a civilization as old as time. DJT did this in front of leaders of all the countries in the world, as if he alone could decide the fate of any country.

It is a total embarrassment to have this man represent the people of America on the world stage. The sooner we get rid of him the better!

Your vote for Democratic Congressman and Senator in the upcoming election, will ensure his demise.

Whether you are a Republican, an Independent, or a Democrat, you must vote, for the sake of our country, to deny this “gentleman” his power!

Final note: please familiarize yourself with The Montana Plan (I-194) which provides that unnamed corporations will no longer be permitted to spend money to support or oppose candidates or ballot issues in Montana.

No more Dark Money in our State!

Presidents control access to the executive mansion and its briefings; hard passes, pool spots, and entry to the Brady Briefing Room or Upper Press are privileges the government extends, not constitutionally guaranteed seats for every news organization. The First Amendment protects the right to publish and criticize; it does not entitle any particular outlet to a desk next to the West Wing or a guaranteed microphone. Administrations of both parties have long favored some reporters, limited others, and managed pool logistics. The Obama White House, for example, publicly branded Fox News as not a real news organization, excluded it from certain pooled interviews, and directed agencies to treat it differently. Earlier presidents also shaped access for practical or political reasons.

Once again, your liberal views are biased and inaccurate. I’m very proud of having a President with a spine! Thank God for Trump!!

It is long past time for any reasonable person who has even a tentative grasp on reality to deny that Trump is a confused old man who waves at crowds only he can see and works for his own personal gain, not for the Constitution he swore to protect and defend. I do agree with him on one point: we should vote this November as if he were on the ballot,

News flash. Man who told us things were great during 9% inflation, $5 gas, a president who couldn’t put a sentence together, and millions of illegals pouring over our border thinks the current president has cognitive issues.
            Please dismiss accordingly.
Thank you for your attention to this matter
