Roundabout

August 20, 2024 by Guest Post

by Chris Faes, Hamilton

I am livid at the response I got from speaking with VISION ZERO representative at the public meeting in Stevensville’s school library on August 14. The response to MY taxpayer dollars question made by VISION ZERO was, not your taxpayer dollars, most of the money for the project is coming from other states such as Texas and Florida. Wasted taxpayer dollars are all the same regardless of where they are coming from.

This project is being railroaded by the VISION ZERO people including the Stevensville high graduate I spoke with yesterday. I have reached out to multiple businesses and politicians as well as private individuals and have gotten the same response from all. They all have hit a wall and there’s no way to stop it, they’ve been fighting this for years to no avail. There must be some investigative entities out there that can look into this situation, and if I have to go above the head of the MDOT and get a coalition together to get to Governor Gianforte in this re-election year, I will.

Please email me with thoughts on how to handle the situation at

ZERO VISION says it all regardless of the order of the words.

Hey Wimps, build a new body shop @ Bell Crossing. Towing fees will be almost eliminated. Marcus Daily could also build an ER Facility @ Bell Crossing to limit Ambulance Service on Highway 93 after the circle of bureaucratic waste is completed.

Just a suggestion but if you look to what Vision Zero (VZ) calls the Safe System Approach you may notice a little nugget of info politicians may have overlooked; whose responsible for accidents. We would say the driver but VZ says that the agencies and organizations that create the system (e.g., policymakers, planners, engineers) are responsible, anybody want to guess who gets thrown under the bus?

This is a quote from the Vision Zero website…”Vision Zero efforts must recognize and work to change historical and current harmful effects of systemic racism, which are intertwined with roadway safety work.” WHAT?

Yes Mike, after delving further into the VZ group I have come to the realization that these people have infiltrated Montana. None of what they stand for is our values. Lets keep Montana free
