The Florence volleyball team lost several players last year to graduation and are less experienced than they have been in the past. However they do have tons of experience in two key positions according to coach Christy Duchien. Hudson Doty-DiBrito, a senior, is the Lady Falcon’s libero and doesn’t let many balls hit the floor. Shay Waldbillig is the setter and can move the ball easily to find the open hitter. Rilee Mangun is a strong middle hitter as is Sarah Hopcroft.
The team decimated Loyola on Saturday, winning in three games: 25-7, 25-21,25-4. Duchien said she was proud of how her team came back after getting a little rattled in the second game.
