The Western A Divisional will have a new format this year with teams from the northwest and southwest vying for a chance to advance to the state tournament in Bozeman next week. The tournament will feature nine teams with Butte Central, the No. 1 seed from the Southwest having a first round bye.
Action kicks off Thursday morning at 10am when Frenchtown and Stevensville meet. Frenchtown is the No. 4 seed from the Northwest and Stevensville is the No. 5 seed from the Southwest. Hamilton, No. 3 from Southwest, takes on Whitefish at noon. Corvallis is the No. 2 seed from the Southwest and they will take on Polson, the No. 3 seed from the Northwest. The final match of the day will be between the winner of the first match.
