I wish to offer fair tribute to the Ravalli County Parole and Probation Office and staff, i.e., Rayla, here in Hamilton, namely, Kristina Bessenyey, Matt Moore and Allison Wilson, on behalf of Ken Syms.
They have always treated Ken well and, during the process with due respect and honor as a man.
They have truly given meaning to what is told a “beginner,” that probation is there to help a person; to do its job. And that’s just what it did for Ken, as only I, Judy LeBlanc, wife of Ken, can do and do testify to in the first person. Yes, I saw and heard it all, up close and personal.
The dignity they allocated to Ken in a professional and courteous manner was real and heartfelt.
So finally, my fellow readers, one day of this year, with the kind support of his probation officer, Matt Moore, Ken was allowed to hold his head high with self-respect, to walk away as a totally free man, and especially a permanently and greatly changed man.
They all are an exciting and meaningful team that work together, act as one, and really help. A team of supportive and very real people.
As for me, Judy LeBlanc, I say, “hats off” to you, one and all of the Ravalli County Probation Board. You all did it. You saved a man.
So after many years, Ken can now know and live a rich life in a fresh new start. I sincerely want all to know that this man’s heart and soul are intact. And better than ever before. Thanks only to all your intended help. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, his wife, Judy LeBlanc, because you’ve helped me too. You’ve allowed me to keep my word to Ken and become a better helpmate, to stay by his side, as we look forward to the remainder of our lives.
