Taylor Goligoski hit two home runs over the middle and Shaylan Mohn added one more to power the Lady Broncs to a 13-7 win over Corvallis. Goligoski drove in three runners and was 2-for-3 at bat in the Southwest A conference game on Thursday. Mohn was also 2-for-3 and had an RBI. Although Hamilton led throughout the game, Corvallis hit the ball well and played tough defense. Hamilton’s Sky Lopez, a freshman, was the pitcher for the game with Rachael Ringer catching. Taylor Gagnon pitched for Corvallis and Taia Tully caught.
In addition to the homers by Goligoski and Mohn, Caitlin Dillon went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI. Lacey Dolcater and Kelsie Meis each had doubles. Lacey Dolcater was 3-for-3 at bat. Meis went 2-for-5 at bat. Lauren Dolcater went 2-for-5 and had an RBI. McKayl Rothie also had an RBI. Kloi Nye was 0-for-3. Ringer was 2-for-5 at bat for Hamilton.
Gagnon went 1-for-4 with a double for Corvallis. Tully went 1-for-1. Kambrey Powell was 0-for-4 with two RBIs. Hannah Brown went 1-for-3 at bat with an RBI. Hannah Capko was 1-for-3; Bobbie Stephens was 0-3, Kira Doyle 0-for-2, Nicole Turner 2-for-3, Syd Curtis 0-3, and Kelsey Fields 0-1.
Hamilton didn’t fare as well at Butte Central on Saturday. The Maroons defeated Hamilton, 8-4. Rothie went 2-for-3 with a double. Meis and Ringer also had doubles. Meis went 1-for-3 and Ringer was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Lopez was 1-for-1, Goligoski was 1-for-3 and Mohn was 0-for-3.
Corvallis lost to Butte Central, 12-2. Tully went 1-for-3 and had an RBI for the Blue Devils.
The first game of the double header between Florence and Ronan went into the eighth inning before Florence pulled away and defeated Ronan, 16-11. Natalie Drozdz, who went 3-for-5, hit a three run double in the final inning to give Florence the win. She finished with four RBIs. Megan Byrne, who pitched the first three innings, had a double and an RBI. Sarah Schurg came in to relieve Byrne and finish the game went 2-for-6 and had two RBIs. Josie McCann was 3-for-4 at bat with two doubles and three RBIs. Micayla Cole went 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Jewel Zeiler was 2-for-4 at bat and hand an RBI. Kali Leibenguth went 2-for-5 with an RBI. Rounding out the batting were Chloe Arthur, who caught the entire game, who went 0-for-2, Shay Waldbillig who was 0-for-1, Holly Hale who was 2-for-6, and Schurg who was 2-for-6 with two RBIs.
The second game did not go as well for Florence. They were shut out, 12-0. Schurg started as pitcher and was relieved by Byrne in the fourth inning. Waldbillig caught until the fifth when Arthur came in.
Stevensville fell to Anaconda, 6-3, on Thursday. Carly Vercruyssen took the loss for the Yellowjackets. She went 1-for-4 at bat and had an RBI. Sam Hambrick was 1-for-2 and also had an RBI for Stevensville.
Stevensville lost to Dillon on Saturday, 18-9. Vercruyssen had a double and two RBIs. She was 3-for-4 at bat with two RBIs. Callie Lendman also went 3-for-4 at bat and had a double and two RBIs. Cambrea Beller went 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Hambrick had an RBI.
