The Corvallis girls put up a whopping 249 points to claim first place at the Wayne Estes Track Meet in Anaconda on Saturday in the rain and the snow. Manhattan took second with 84 points. The Blue Devils had several athletes who notched wins in more than one event. Sadi Henderson won the 100, 200 and 400-meter races. Isabella Pape won the 800 and the 1,600; and Katelyn Frost won the long jump and the pole vault. Frost, Henderson, Jessica Lewis and Hannah Gale won the 400 relay race while Frost, Penny Jessop, Chelsi Clark and Emme Warnken won the 1,600 relay race. Kayla Lewis won the javelin with a throw of 115’4” and Jane Booth continued to dominate in the high jump with a jump of 5’4”.
The Corvallis boys finished second behind Manhattan and Hamilton was third at the Anaconda meet. Taylor Sylvester of Corvallis won the 400 and the 110 hurdles, and Tyler Olson won the javelin. Hamilton’s Anthony Schmalz won the 1,600 and the 3,200 while Karill Apendaile won the 800. Chris Lords of Stevensville won the 100 and the 200-meter races.
In Missoula at the Seeley Swan Invitational, Darby’s Keely Ehmann won the 400 to push the Tigers to a 4th place finish in the 18 team field.
