We are all being lied to by various radio ads, sound bites and talk show hosts that assume and tell us we all must sign up for Obamacare! The US Code clearly states, from Title 42 – The Public Health and Welfare, Chapter 157 – Qualify, affordable health aare for all Americans, Subchapter VI – Miscellaneous Provisions: §18115. “Freedom not to participate in Federal health insurance programs”
“No individual, company, business, nonprofit entity, or health insurance issuer offering group or individual health insurance coverage shall be required to participate in any Federal health insurance program created under this Act (or any amendments made by this Act), or in any Federal health insurance program expanded by this Act (or any such amendments), and there shall be no penalty or fine imposed upon any such issuer for choosing not to participate in such programs.”
I missed the article by Van P. Keele that Scott Boyer responded to. I hope we can all discuss issues and principles in a very respectful way. We are all human beings trying to make this world a better place. Let’s challenge ideas, not individuals. I like the point Scott made about the young needing to sign up in order for this to work. It makes sense that they would need to pay for the older, sicker generation in order for the program to get funded. What ever happened to the older generation working hard so that they could leave a legacy for their children? How is it we can justify robbing from the young for our own benefit? I wonder.
Again, we are all being lied to! Search for the law yourself and see for yourself! It is in the US Code and the numbers you need are above. It is important that we know the law itself, for ourselves!

We need to challenge individuals who deliberately opine with NO facts to back them up. yes we are all entitled to our opinions but when people read such propaganda as Van Keele writes they might believe it and thus they often vote in an ignorant manner based on faulty information that some in the valley put into the papers.
