This is in response to “Watching our ideologues and ourselves, fail” and his comment about citizens and the sheriff.
You refer to them as radical believers, but the article you refer to says they were “extremely concerned citizens looking for assurances that the county commissioners and sheriff are willing to execute their legal obligations.” There is nothing radical about that!
You make some incorrect statements when you talked about these concerned citizens and a militia. First, the sheriff posse is the militia at large in his county consisting of armed populace under the posse comitatus and is voluntary. Voluntary! You are not forced to be a part of it like you misled everyone to believe. So your claim is a falsehood!
This was simply a way to make sure that our sheriff would stand up for our rights here in the Bitterroot. All you want to do is make a tempest in a teapot. There is nothing wrong with citizens wanting their rights protected. These people are not extremists, like you assert, but people who expect our sheriff to do what is right by them if trouble ever comes to our town. All you want to do is stir up trouble where there is none to be had.
You and your kind are nothing more than extremists who want to put down those who believe in our rights and what our Constitution stands for in this country. You try to make anyone who doesn’t agree with you one hundred percent look as if they are evil. Those who don’t want their rights protected or our Constitution are no better than Communists or Nazis who want to sell this country down the river.
I suggest that you stop tearing those down who want nothing more then to save our country from going down the sinister socialistic trail.
