Kudos to Mr. Evan Jordan of Frenchtown for his letter of 8/27/12 in which he contests Representative Denny Rehberg’s use of taxpayer money to support his candidacy for Senator. How right Mr. Jordon is! Our whole election process has been destroyed in our presence and we, the people, have done nothing to stop it! I am sorry to inform Mr. Jordan that his letter of complaint will do no good! The colorful brochures will continue coming and Mr. Jordan, as a taxpayer, will be allowed to pay for them.
On July 2, 2012, I wrote the Republican State Central Committee asking that they remove my name from their mailing list. The brochures kept coming. On 7/28/2012, I wrote them again and attached the five brochures I had accumulated, put it all in an envelope addressed to the MRSCC in Helena with no postage or return address. My thinking was that if they had to pay the postage to receive (what might have been campaign donations) maybe they would honor my request. Since then I have received three more. Guess I wasn’t so smart after all!
It all makes my voting decision easier.
