The courts at Hamilton, Corvallis and Stevensville saw a lot of high school tennis action on Saturday with the annual Bitterroot Invitational. With teams from throughout western Montana and even Havre competing, the players had a chance to not only see who they may come up against at the state tournament but also get used to tournament play rather than duo matches.
James Enzler of Stevensville defeated Ethan Selig of Hamilton for the boys championship. Cody Lengyel and Bridger Walczynski of Corvallis took top honors in the boys doubles. Mary Conwell of Hamilton defeated her teammate, Nellie Moran, for the girls championship. Downey and Pafhausen of Dillon defeated Lairen Phinney and Sydnee Maduga of Corvallis for the doubles championship.
