LIDAR MAPPING CONSULTANTS

Ravalli County seeks qualifications from experienced consulting firms that specialize in LiDAR mapping to assist the Planning Department in gathering detailed topographic data to be used for flood hazard mapping as part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Flood Map Modernization program.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

HYDROGEOLOGIC SERVICES

Ravalli County is soliciting Request for Proposals for hydrogeologic services which will complete a Bitterroot Valley Septic Systems Impact Evaluation Model. This evaluation model is a groundwater study designed to help our valley assess the cumulative effects of potential nitrate loading to groundwater from septic system.

SECTION 00100 - INVITATION TO BID

RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids will be received by the Ravalli County Clerk and Recorder Office at 215 South Fourth Street, Suite C, Hamilton, Montana, 59840, until 1:00 p.m. local time on August 26, 2009, for the construction of “Willow Creek Bridge Replacement and Old Corvallis Bridge Replacement” project.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work includes complete removal and replacement of two separate bridge structures at the locations described below. Replacement shall include H-pile and precast concrete pile cap substructures with precast concrete decks. Work shall also include excavation, grading, final roadway preparation, guardrail, traffic control, and related work.

PROJECT FINANCING: The project is funded by Ravalli County, and is subject to all applicable regulations as indicated within the specifications.

SITE OF WORK: The project consists of two sites located within Ravalli County. The first site is located immediately east of the Town of Corvallis on Willow Creek Road, and the second site is located 2 miles southwest of the Town of Corvallis at the intersection of Old Corvallis Road and Hawker Lane.

COMPLETION OF WORK: All work must be substantially completed within 45 calendar days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed.

OPENING OF BIDS: The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. on August 26, 2009, by the Board of County Commissioners in the Commissioners’ Conference Room, 215 South Fourth Street, Hamilton, Montana 59840.
