St. A trolley wagon will depart from the Post Office and will provide a tour through Hamilton's historical district. People can disembark at the church for the tour and ice cream social and return on the next trolley or walk six blocks to Main Street. Margaret Daly, wife of copper king and lumber baron Marcus Daly, was a parishioner and a prominent financial building contributor. The wood frame structure incorporated elements typical of British ecclesiastical architecture and its pointed arched windows, decorative wooden tracery, steeply pitched rooflines and square towers allude to the denomination's English roots. The interior ceiling is intended to remind worshipers of an inverted Noah's ark. The towers, originally asymmetrical, were modified in later years. The seven stained glass windows were more recently added and each depict a biblical story. Relax at the lawn tables and enjoy a Haagen Dazs ice cream or sundae. All sale proceeds will benefit the Historical Preservation Fund to restore the church. Ice cream socials and pancake suppers were the major fundraisers for the initial building of the church.
