RAVALLI COUNTY BLUEWEED CONTROL WORK ALONG THE BITTERROOT RIVER

Ravalli County is soliciting bid requests for the Blueweed control work to be done along the Bitterroot River the 2009 spray season. Sealed bids must include a commercial applicator’s license, proof of insurance, list of equipment and the amount necessary to provide all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals needed to perform the specified work.

If you are interested in submitting a bid request, contact the Ravalli County Weed District at 406-777-5842 for a copy of the contract and specifications of the work to be completed during this 2009 fall season. For information on the bid process, contact Glenda Wiles in the Commissioners Office at 406-375-6500.

Sealed bids must be received at the Clerk and Recorders Office at 215 S. 4th Street, Suite C, Hamilton, MT. 59840 by 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2009. PUBLIC HEARING

EXECUTION OF BUY-SELL AGREEMENT TO VICTOR RURAL FIRE DISTRICT

The Board of Ravalli County Commissioners has expressed their intent to sell certain properties to the Victor Rural Fire District as described below.

Therefore, the Commissioners will hold a public meeting on Wednesday June 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Conference Room (3rd Floor) at 215 S. 4th Street, Hamilton, MT., in order to approve of a Resolution of Intent to enter into the Buy-Sell Agreement with Victor Rural Fire District.

The Ravalli County Commissioners will then hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 25, 2009, at 8: 30 a.m. in the Commissioners Conference Room (3rd Floor) at the Administrative Center at 215 S. 4th Street, Hamilton, MT. The purpose of this hearing is to take public comment and adopt a Resolution allowing the Commissioners to enter into a Buy-Sell Agreement (which also incorporates a Lease) between Ravalli County (the seller) and the Victor Rural Fire District (the Buyer) for Lots 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18; Block 4 of the Town of Victor. Purchase price is $40,000.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OR DISPOSAL OF SCHOOL PROPERTY

Whereas, Stevensville School District has certain items of personal property that are abandoned, obsolete, undesirable, or unsuitable for school purposes on the attached Exhibit A.

Whereas, it is in the best interest of the Stevensville School District to sell or otherwise dispose of said property, to put the value of said property to better use and no longer have to care, maintain, and store said property.

Now therefore: Be it resolved that the Stevensville School Board intends to sell or otherwise dispose of the personal property in full compliance with the laws of the State of Montana, 20-6-604. A list of items for sale can be picked up at the Superintendent’s office.

Any taxpayer may protest the adoption of this resolution anytime prior to June 24, 2009, and may appeal this resolution by following the procedures outlined in 20-6-604.

Items for sale will be sold at a garage sale on June 26, 2009, in the Stevensville Public Schools parking lot, 300 Park Avenue, Stevensville, MT, from 8:00 am until 12:00 noon. Items must be paid for at the time of acquisition.

Property may be viewed at the school district by making an appointment with Jim Chisholm or David Haacke, during regular weekdays at 777-7346 or 214-9920.

Be it further resolved that all monies resulting from the sale of the properties shall become a part of the Building Fund of Stevensville Schools.
