The Circus is coming!Old-fashioned circus in steve for two shows June 15th Skeeter the Clown gave Stevensville Elementary School students a lesson in balancing a peacock feather on the tip of their fingers last Monday and many of the students showed some talent in that regard. The key, according to Skeeter, is to keep your eye on the tip top of the feather. She was good at it and could balance the feather on her finger, on her nose, or even on her chin. More... New Hospital Rehabilitation Center opensBy Michael Howell In a touching ceremony that at times drew tears from speakers as well as audience members, Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton celebrated the opening of its new state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center last Friday. The center officially opened its doors for business on Monday, June 8. The 12,500 square foot facility cost $3 million to build. The Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital Foundation kicked in $50,000 for the project. The project was financed with loans from Farmers State Bank, First Interstate Bank and Ravalli County Bank. More...
Hamilton updates Growth PolicyBy Michael Howell The Hamilton City Council adopted an updated Growth Policy at its last meeting on June 2, despite a last minute flurry of protests fueled in part by a letter mailed out to residents in the area surrounding Hamilton by ranch owner Terry Ryan. The Growth Policy describes a planning area that extends two miles outside the current city limits and sets goals and policies to guide development in the area. More...
