NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR ISSUANCE OF ONE ORIGINAL (NEW) MONTANA RETAIL ON-PREMISES CONSUMPTION RESTAURANT BEER AND WINE LICENSE

On April 20, 2010, The Burger Shack, Inc. – Sole Shareholder: Lisa J. Butler, filed an application for the issuance of a license to be used at THE BURGER SHACK, 205 Main Street, Stevensville, Ravalli County, Montana.

Protests against an application must be (1) made in writing, (2) mailed to the Department of Revenue, Liquor Licensing, PO Box 1712, Helena, Montana 59624-1712, and (3) received and date stamped by the Department no later than the 14th day of June, 2010. Protest letters which do not provide the information described in this paragraph will not be considered valid protest letters. Only those grounds for protest raised in valid protest letters will be considered at hearing. An individual’s testimony at hearing will be limited to the grounds for protest raised in that individual’s valid protest letter.

If the department receives a sufficient number of protests to require a hearing pursuant to section 16-4-207(4)(a), MCA, a hearing will be scheduled in Helena, Montana. If the department receives a sufficient number of protests to require a hearing pursuant to section 16-4-207(4)(b), MCA, to determine public convenience and necessity, a hearing will be held in the county in which the proposed premises is located. All qualified protestors will be notified of the time, date, and location of the hearing. Hearings are typically scheduled within 90 days following the protest deadline.

If a sufficient number of protests to require a hearing are not received and all licensing criteria have been satisfied, the department may issue the license without holding a hearing.

CALL FOR BIDS

Stevensville Elementary School District is soliciting specific sealed bids for SELECTED DEMOLITION, EARTHWORK, and CONCRETE WORK for Phase One of the 4-8 Classroom Building project. All other work of Phase Two will be publicly advertised and bid at a later date. Beginning at 8:00 AM on May 14th, bid packets may be obtained from Pat Pfau at the Stevensville School District Offices at 300 Park Avenue, Stevensville MT 59870, by phone at 406-777-5481 ext. 136, or by e-mail at pfaup@stevensville.k12.mt.us. A refundable deposit of $50.00 will be required prior to obtaining bid packets. The deposit will be refunded in full if the bid packet is returned in good condition with 10 working days after the bid date. A non-refundable shipping and handling fee of $15.00 will be required for bidders who request that the plans be shipped to them. The fee must be received prior to bid packets being sent.

This project utilizes the Construction Manager at Risk method, and Swank Enterprises of Kalispell has previously been selected as the Construction Manager. This project will be offered with two bidding options. Bidders who can provide the bid and performance securities required below and by State law may bid directly to the School District. Bidders who elect not to provide the required security documents may bid directly to Swank Enterprises as a subcontractor. Wage requirements, effective at the time of bidding, are included in the bid packets. Certified payroll records will be required. This project is subject to the Montana State 1% Gross Receipts Tax. Successful bidders shall give employment preference to bona-fide residents of Montana. A Montana resident bidder will be allowed preference against the bid of a non-resident bidder from any state or county that enforces a preference for resident bidders. The Ravalli County Commissioners are seeking proposals for the necessary financing of the construction of a building for a Crisis Stabilization Facility. The estimated loan amount is $350,000 to $400,000.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CDBG-ED NEEDS

The Ravalli County Commissioners will hold a public hearing in the Commissioners Conference Room of the Ravalli County Administrative Building, 215 S. 4th Street, Hamilton, MT on June 4th, at 10:00 am for the purpose of obtaining public comments regarding the community development needs and priorities of Ravalli County for economic development, housing and community revitalization, and public facilities, and particularly as those needs affect low and moderate income persons.

The County is considering submitting an application to the Montana Department of Commerce for a Community Development Block Grant -Economic Development Program (CDBG-ED) grant, and wants to obtain public comment on the needs of the community. The Ravalli County Commissioners will discuss the purpose of the CDBG-ED Program and the variety of activities eligible for funding. At the public hearing, everyone will be given the opportunity to express their opinions regarding the County’s needs and the type of projects that should be considered. Comments may be given orally at the hearing or submitted in writing before 5:00 P.M. June 11th.
