FWP declines to enter Mitchell Slough caseThe Montana Department of Fish Wildlife and Parks (FWP) has filed a brief in the court case pending between the Bitterroot River Protection Association, Inc. (BRPA) and the Bitterroot Conservation District (BCD) over Mitchell Slough. Hamilton Budgets and Grants Officer resignsBy Michael Howell The City of Hamilton's Budget and Grants Officer, Dale Huhtanen, made his resignation final last week and he will be off the City payroll at the end of the month. Huhtanen turned in a resignation announcement previously but then asked that it be tabled as he assessed City Council procedures. He was critical of newly elected City Council members and claims in his recently released resignation announcement it is due to the disorganization and dysfunction brought on by three newly elected council members who came on the council "with vendettas, causes, hatred towards government - which does not make for a good council."
