The BOARD OF RAVALLI COUNTY COMMISSIONERS is calling for sealed bids on the following herbicides. Sealed bids must be turned into the Clerk and Recorders Office at 215 S. 4th Street, Suite C, (Second Floor), Hamilton, MT., by March 5, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. The bids will then be opened by the Commissioners in the Commissioner’s Conference Room at 215 S. 4th Street (Third Floor) on March 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.. The bid will be awarded by the Commissioners in the Conference Room (Third Floor) on March 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.

Each bid package must be marked “Herbicide Bid. Each sealed bid must contain a current product label and MSDS sheet for each item on the list. Items on the list need to be priced individually (Price/gallon), a total price for each product and a total price for the entire bid list must be included. All prices must be the delivered price to Ravalli Count Weed District Shop at 329 Steve Airport Road, Stevensville, MT. Ravalli County may accept any, part or all of the bids as submitted. Ravalli County reserves the right to order more herbicides from this list at the same prices through out the 2010 spray season and any other products ordered will be as priced. REQUEST FOR ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING SERVICES

Ravalli County, through its sub-recipient Ravalli County Economic Development Authority (RCEDA) is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for architectural/engineering services for the creation of the final design of the Pantry Partners Food Bank Facility (PPFB) to be located in Stevensville, Montana, as well as to prepare and review bid solicitation and construction contract documents and to carry out construction supervision duties in conjunction with Ravalli County, RCEDA and PPFB.

The Ravalli County Park Board wishes to purchase a vehicle and is seeking bids for a mini truck with a curb weight less than 1,500 lbs. REQUEST FOR FINANCIAL PROPOSALS

FINANCIAL LENDING FOR BUILDING PURCHASE

The Ravalli County Commissioners are seeking proposals for the necessary financing of the purchase of a building for Search and Rescue. The estimated loan amount is $425,000.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES

The North Valley Public Library of Stevensville, Montana is seeking specific qualifications from interested Architectural firms that are capable of providing professional services for the design and construction of a new or renovated library in the building’s current location. The library district serves a population of approximately 10,000 and is currently housed in a 6,500 square foot building located at 208 Main St., Stevensville, Montana. 

The Board is specifically interested in any of the following pertinent qualifications:

· Library-specific design
· Energy-efficient or “green” building
· Historic preservation or historically sensitive design
· Construction Manager (CM) or Construction-Manager-at-Risk working arrangements

All qualifications must be received by March 15, 2010 by 5 PM.

Ravalli County will hold a public meeting for the purpose of obtaining views from the residents of the County regarding the submittal of a Treasure State Endowment Program (TSEP) grant application for bridge replacements in Ravalli County. One bridge being studied for the TSEP application is over the Supply Ditch at Willoughby Lane. The public meeting will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Stevensville Fire Hall at 206 Buck Street in Stevensville.

The County is considering submitting an application to TSEP and wants to obtain public comment on the proposal. Citizens will be given an opportunity to comment at the public meeting and may also submit comments in writing by March 31, 2010 to Ravalli County’s consulting engineer for this proposal: WGM Group, Attn: Jon Gass, 1111 E. Broadway, Missoula, MT 59802.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice of Intent to Transfer Location of Air Quality Permit (Pursuant to Section 75-2-211, MCA and ARM Title 17, Chapter 8, Subchapter 7, PERMIT, CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION AND AIR CONTAMINANT SOURCES).

Ravalli County Road & Bridge Department will file on or about February 22, 2010 a notification of intent to transfer location of an air quality permit with the Permitting and Compliance Division/Air and Waste Management Bureau of the Montana Department of Environmental Quality. Applicant seeks approval of this transfer of location of 1985 El Jay Crusher & Related Equipment, Air Quality Permit #3011-02, to Hamilton Airport Pit, T6N R20W Section 19, Hamilton Airport Road east of Hamilton, Montana.

The division must approve or disapprove the permit transfer within 30 days of receipt of a complete notice of intent. Any member of the public with questions or who wishes to review a copy of the permit and the division’s analysis of it, or to submit comments on the change of location must contact the division at 1520 East Sixth Ave., P.O. Any comments on the location transfer must be submitted to the division within 15 days after the date of this publication.
