The Red Sox and the Bucs played a double header on Sunday and split the action. Both games featured a monster home run. In the first game, Zac Blackstun of the Bitterroot Bucs hit a long ball to give the momentum to the Bucs. The Bucs went on to win, 8-5. Blackstun went 2-for-4. Dan Lockman was 3-for-4 with two doubles and Billy Hanna had a double that scored two run. Drew Zeiler went 3-for-4 for the Red Sox and knocked a three run home run in the seventh inning.
Austin Nogle was the winning pitcher with two strikeouts, three walks and eight hits. Jake Lindquist took the loss for the Red Sox. He struck out four and had three walks.
In the second game, it was Jake Capko of the Red Sox who hit a home run that soared over the scoreboard and pine trees. He knocked in two runners with the long bomb. Rodee Anderson also had a solo home run in the seventh inning and led the Red Sox to a 7-1 win. Anderson scored every time he was at bat in the second game. Trevor Brown pitched a complete game for the Red Sox. He struck out three batters and walked one. Riley Philips took the loss for the Bucs. He struck out six, walked two but had 10 hits.
The Red Sox will host the Bucs tonight, Wednesday, at 6 p.m.
