I googled the Bitterroot Chamber of Commerce and the first thing I read was, “Welcome to our Beautiful Bitterroot Valley!” This was closely followed by “unsurpassed beauty.” Obviously, whomever wrote that has a completely different perspective of beauty than I do.
Any realtor will tell you the importance of curbside appeal. The entrance to north Hamilton is shameful, disgusting and beyond ugly, starting with the non-descript granite sign followed by dead tree after dead tree and finishing with total weed infestation.
I’m not sure if the City or County is accountable for the upkeep on the north entrance to Hamilton, but surely between the two, something can be done.
My hat is off to MDOT for paving over eyesores that should never have been attempted in the first place.
Now if only the County would mow or spray their roadways once in a while.
