The annual Bitterroot Invitational was held in Corvallis where the girls competed and in Hamilton where the boys competed.
Corvallis’ Laramie McHugh defeated Morgan Peterson of Dillon, 6-0, 6-1 in the semi finals. She then defeated Emily Getts of Columbia Falls 6-1, 6-2 for the championship. The doubles team of Megan Lengyel and Sydnee Madruga took the championship with a 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (4) win over Dillon’s Kansas Suenram and Whitney Southam.
The boys’ single championship was won by Hamilton’s Reese Isherwood who defeated Corvallis’ Alma Powell, 6-4, 7-6 (8). Isherwood defeated Stevi’s Joseph Fecteau in the semi finals. Powell defeated Jason Schnackenberg of Libby.
Bridger Walczysnki and DJ Pekoc of Corvallis won the doubles final over the Bradt twins of Stevensville.
