Request For Proposal on Large Diameter Steel Pipe
The Bitter Root Irrigation District (BRID) is accepting sealed bids for two 66-inch OD large diameter steel pipe, 1⁄4” wall, 45’long pipes (4) sets of butt straps for 66” pipes, no paint on the butt straps. The width on the butt straps is 16 inches. There can be no coatings on the ends of the large diameter pipe. The district requires 12 inches of bare pipe on the ends.
Qualifications:
• Exterior surface preparation is quoted as per SSPC-SP6.
• Exterior coating is quoted as (1) coat of Carboguard 635 followed by (1) coat of Carboguard 635 HAR to a final overall average DFT of 8-12 mils. Color: gray.
• Material is quoted as A36
• CJP joints to be 100% UT scanned
• MTRs will be provided
Note; No coating will be installed 12 inches from each end of the pipe.
