The Class A Golf Tournament was held in Sidney at the Sidney Country Club on Friday, Sept. 29th and Saturday, Sept. 30th. For Bitterroot Valley schools this was quite the trip. To drive from the Bitterroot Valley to Sidney is roughly the same distance as driving from Chicago to Philadelphia. Montana is Big.Corvallis’s Brady Powell was the boy’s State Runner-Up, shooting a 1-over par for the two day tournament (70, 75). In his final round, Powell birdied 4 of his last 7 holes, but came up just short, losing by 1 stroke. Corvallis’s Tate Jessop finished 9th and Tag Jessop finished 18th. Hamilton’s highest finisher was Josh Bender in 26th. Stevenville’s Selwyn Hackett finished 36th. In the boys team standing, Corvallis finished 3rd, and Hamilton finished in 6th.
Individually for the girls, Hamilton’s Emma Hollingsworth took 8th, while her teammates Bryn Cianflone and Cameron Burnett tied for 12th. In the girls’ team standings, Hamilton finished 3rd.
