My neighbor has some Bluetick Hounds which are known for being very intelligent and great problem solvers. They are a cold-nose hound which means they are good at following old “cold” trails. I would consider their nose to be “expert” and follow their lead in a hunt without question. However, there is one hound next door that has been barking at a Ponderosa pine for 8 to 10 hours a day for the last two months and no one seems to know why…a very cold trail perhaps? I give him the benefit of the doubt and wonder if he knows something I don’t, but my patience is wearing thin. I am sure this will pass in time and things will quiet down once again.
I look at the world today and think of that hound barking at the tree…patience.
