Charles A. ‘Chuck’ Brooks

Charles A. (Chuck) Brooks. 85 went to be with the lord on May 15, 2021 at the Hamilton (Assisted Living and Memory Care) where he got incredible care. He was battling Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. 

He was born to Theodore and Thelma Brooks on November 2nd, 1935 in El Dorado Kansas. The family moved to Wyoming and live in Salt Wells, Baxter and Thayer Junction. Chuck attended all of his school years in Superior Wyoming where he graduated in 1954. He Entered the US Air Force in 1954 and discharged in 1958 as Staff Sergeant. 

In 1959 he went to work for Hill Air Force in Ogden, Utah where he had a civicl service job as a radar technician. On May 6th, 1961 he married Carol Ann Edwards in Rock Springs, Wyoming and they started their married life in Salt Lake City, Utah. Chuck went to work for IBM in 1965 in San Jose, California as a Systems Test Technician and remained there in various positions until he transferred to Reno, Nevada in 1979 as a Service Manager. In 1984 he transferred to Billings, Montana and in 1988 he went to work for Eastman Kodak Company and then retired in 1991. 

Chuck had always served in his home church wherever he lived and loved helping family and friends with their projects around their homes, etc. He and Carol Ann moved to the Bitterroot Valley in 2008 and settled in Corvallis where they could be closer to their daughter Lori and Tom Cousins and family. His hobbies were camping, fishing, hunting, working with wood and making things. 

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Thelma Brooks, his brother Carrol Brooks, his sister Doris Decora, his sister Delma Guthrie and his brother Clyde Brooks. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Carol Ann Brooks. His two children: Brad (Renee) Brooks and Lori (Tom) Cousins. Seven grandchildren: Caleb (Ashley) Cousins, Cody (Brooke) Cousins, Melissa (Arick) Morrell, Cole (Elli) Brooks, Lane Brooks, Carter (Ashleigh) Brooks, and Nolan Brooks. His sister DeVonne Myers, Basin, Wyoming. Nine great grandchildren: Cyrus Cousins, Estelle Cousins, Everlie Morrell, Cryder Cousins, Casen Cousins, Logan Morrell, Maci Cousins, Stetson Morrell and Colt Cousins. 

Celebrations of his life will be at 11:00am July 24th, at Crossroads Christian Fellowship, 1297 Meridian Road Victor, Montana. He was laid to rest at the Corvallis Cemetery on May 24th, 2021. Memorials may be sent to the charity of one’s choice.
