Jeff Mahler has been hired as the head volleyball coach for Stevensville High School.
Mahler was born in Seattle, WA and began playing volleyball as a junior in high school on the beaches of Lake Washington. Nineteen years ago Jeff and his wife moved to Montana where Jeff began to volunteer in the volleyball program at Florence High School. He coached at Florence for 10 years. Jeff has coached every level including junior high and sub varsity teams at Florence where he was the head varsity coach for five years. While being head coach he led them to four Conference Championships, five District Championships, five Divisional Championships, and five trips to State with three of them being 3rd place finishes. Along with his high school championships he led the junior high to four Valley Championships and one 2nd place finish. He has also been nominated for coach of the year by the Montana High School Association. Simultaneously, he has been coaching club volleyball at every age level from 12’s to 18’s. Coaching is a life-long passion and a constant pursuit of excellence for Jeff. He is always working to further his education in volleyball to bring the very best to his players by studying continuously and attending coaches’ clinics around the country.
“We are thrilled to have Jeff on board. He brings a high level of volleyball coaching to our program, but more importantly he is focused on integrity and building character in our student-athletes. I believe Stevensville Volleyball has a bright future,” said Chance Edman, Stevensville Activities Director.
